It also brings balance, rest, and a growing inner peace. While its highest and original purpose is to help us awaken our inner, spiritual nature, the benefits to body and mind are well established by medical research.

Practiced on a daily basis, meditation produces profound results on all levels of your being—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It connects you with your own inner powers of vitality, clarity, and love.

All are welcome to join the inspired Ananda members in a group meditation to uplift the vibration of ourselves as well as others. Beginners are encouraged and experienced meditators will have the opportunity to deepen their practice. Join us to experience the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of meditation.

If you are new to meditation arrive a few minutes early to receive instruction on a simple technique that will get you started.

Dress Comfortably

This is a great way to be introduced to the techniques and teachings of the great yoga master Paramhansa Yogananda. We’ll practice energization exercises, prayers, devotional chanting and meditation.
Show up “Awake and Ready” and bring a prayer shawl if you like. Cushions are available.

Approximate Time Lengths For 2 Hour Format (length Of Most Group Meditations)

  • 15 minutes of Energization Exercises
  • 20 minutes of Yoga Postures
  • 15 minutes Prayer and chanting
  • 1 hour meditation with 30 minute AUM break if someone needs to leave early
  • 10 minutes – Healing prayers

Approximate Time Lengths For 3 Hour Format (extended Meditation)

  • 30 min. – Energization exercises and gentle Ananda yoga postures (adaptable and appropriate for all)
  • 10 min. – Reading from inspirational spiritual texts
  • 10 min. – Chanting to open the heart
  • 120 min. – Meditation (short break midway through)
  • 10 min. – Healing Prayers and closing blessing

Suggested Donation

A $5.00 donation is suggested to help pay center expenses.
Inclement Weather and Holidays
Events are canceled in inclement weather. We also close for holidays on Saturdays.
