Saturday Meditation

An event every week that begins at 8:00am on Saturday, repeating until December 31, 2019

All are welcome to join the inspired Ananda members in a group meditation to uplift the vibration of ourselves as well as others. Beginners are encouraged and experienced meditators will have the opportunity to deepen their practice. Join us to experience the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual benefits of meditation.

If you are new to meditation arrive a few minutes early to receive instruction on a simple technique that will get you started.

Format:

  • 15 minutes of Energization Exercises (as taught by Yogananda)
  • 20 minutes of Yoga Postures for all bodies. A few gentle yoga poses and affirmations (as taught by Swami Kryiananda, founder of Ananda Worldwide)
  • 15 minutes short inspirational reading/spiritual affirmations, prayer and chanting
  • 1 hour meditation, with instruction on easy techniques for beginners or how to deepen your meditation for those with experience. with 30 minute AUM break if someone needs to leave early
  • 10 minutes – Healing prayers
